2 Year Old Internet Geek
My little toddler is at it again. When I was pregnant with her I was going to school for Web Development and I spent most of my time in front of the computer. I just loved everything about the box and screen. So after she was born I was still in school and since I went to school from home she most of the time would be in class with me. I would read my school books to her as I would do my homework. There was one book that she seemed very interested in A+ Guide to Managing and Maintaining Your PC . When she started to sit up and crawl around she always ended up at this book and she’d play with it so I would read it to her.
Now every chance she gets she is at one of the computers in the house. She gets upset if she can not play on them. I can’t walk away from my laptop to even go to the bathroom or anywhere else in the house. She knows how to log in and get onto the Internet. How many 2 year old toddlers know how to do that. I have a total of 5 computers at home right now but we only use 2 of them. One for the hubby and kids and one for me. I also have the Droid phone, she even knows how t use it. She sends her daddy text messages and downloaded Disney games to my phone. And she strikes when I am in another room then put the phone down like she hasn’t done anything when I come in.
Usually when I am on my laptop I am multitasking. You know moms have so much to do. But now I see little miss imitating me. Yesterday I was on the computer and talking on the phone in my room she was watching TV in my office. It’s across from my room so I could see her from my bed. Next thing I know she was on the computer, had gotten on the Internet and was playing a game. When I got off the phone it rang and she said, “I got it!” She was multitasking. I sat and just watched her for about 5 minutes she would look at the TV, turn play the game and answer the phone. I just want to know does anybody want to hire her, she needs a job! She is going to make a good IT person or Executive. She is already a computer geek like her mommy. She keeps asking me for her own computer. I bought a toy laptop but she doesn’t want to play with it. It is nothing like the real thing and she knows it. She calls the computer, ” the puter.” So cute to hear her say it. What am I going to do with her?
