My Hubby’s Support
I told my hubby about supporting me and my blog. He reads a post now and then when I nag him about it. I was telling him about the women blogger’s that I meet and connect with and how they have those husbands that show their support for their blogs. You know what my husbands response was…
“You can tell them that I am computer illiterate.” I talk to him all the time about my blog and the work that I do on the computer. He really doesn’t seem all that interested. But it is because he doesn’t know much about computers. I’m into blogging, surfing the web, gadgets and technology. He is into softball and dominoes. Meaning he plays a lot of softball, so much so that I can’t keep up with what team he’s on and when their playing. The only thing he does on the computer is play dominoes with Yahoo and he learned how to check his email. He has never really learned to send an email but he can get them. He’s also the only person I know who does not have a Facebook. I know he has my back in whatever I pursue, its just that it would be nice if we could share my success together so that when I celebrate he could understand why we are celebrating.
You would think that having a wife that does so much with the computer that he would have learned a few things. So what am I gonna do with him. I know, I am going to add that to MY Bucket List. Before I die I am going to teach my husband to navigate the Internet and how to clean the cookies on the computer! Wish me luck!

My husband surfs the internet-but avoids all things social media related. No facebook. No reading of blogs. No twitter. No myspace. No…anything. He only has an email account for job searches and when he signs up for some sports websites.
It will take someone other than his wife (me) to get him interested.
Good Luck on your quest!
Yeah same way for my husband. No social anything. He just plays with whoever in lala land on Yahoo dominoes. And uses his email for sports. I saw him on the fantasy football website.
If I don’t post for awhile my husband NAGS me and asks why I haven’t posted anything lately! It is kinda nice to have a cheerleader around for when I’m in a slump though.
The hubby rarely read my posts. I find when I’ve written a good controversial one that everyone shares and chimes in on, then he’ll read it.
Or sometimes, just randomly, he’ll quote me in conversation to hint at having read it. He says that since I chatter on about what I’m going to write about before I do it, he doesn’t need to read the final product!
LOL!
While hubs supports my blog and the blog I write for professionally, his eyes really start to glaze over once I start talking keywords, social media, and SEO!
Oh, well. It’s like when he talks soccer to me!
I know! That is all I’m asking for, my own little cheerleader. It makes you feel good to have somebody support you in what you do. He just laughs at me. But he want me to be his cheerleader at his softball games. When he married me I was not a sports fan at all.
He won’t even know when somebody else has read it. I have to tell him. But he knows I posted about him cause I did it right after our conversation and I sat next to him. He just kept peeking over to see what I was writing.
Oh I won’t even get started in on that talk. I would lose him for real!
It’s me the hubby I’ve read all your post baby so I think I gotta buy some pom – poms now lol Love you baby
